Beard Transplants Procedure

Beard transplant surgeons in Turkey remove hair from the back of the scalp in small follicular units — one or two hairs at a time. For the most natural looking results, grafts are placed at an angle that mimics the existing hair..

In the beard transplantation, the roots taken from the hairy skin are transferred to the needed region. In the FUE method, the hairs are depilated one by one and by doing so, the making of scars is prevented.

FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction)

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is the method for extracting or harvesting donor hair. This method is very popular as a hair transplant procedure. A special instrument is used to make small, circular incisions in the skin around a follicular (hair) unit, separating it from the surrounding tissue.

The unit is then extracted straight from the scalp, leaving a small open hole. The surgeon makes tiny recipient site in the balding area of the scalp using a special designed needle point instrument. The grafts are then placed into the recipient sites. There they will grow into healthy hair-producing follicles. It is essentially that the recipient sites are made before the grafts are extracted so the placing of follicular units grafts are safe.

Mustache Transplantation

Mustache transplantation is especially popular in the Middle Eastern countries where moustache has been valued by men all over the Middle East as symbols of adulthood, virility, knowledge and masculine for years to come. Only expert doctors are competent of undertaking a mustache transplantation procedure taking between two to four hours. The donor hair is usually taken from the back of the scalp as it resembles to the texture of beard hair. After numbing both areas, the doctor takes grafts from the scalp and plants them in the beard area. This is achieved with high accuracy as the doctor has to plant the hair in the right growing direction of the mustache as well as take care of aesthetics appearance, such as grey hairs.

The transplanted hairs will fall after approximately one month, and new roots will start to grow in about three months time. It takes around a year for the hairs to fully grow. It is generally possible to trim or style the beard after the transplantation.
